{"id":226034,"date":"2024-10-19T14:41:21","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T14:41:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-60335-2-492003a112012\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T08:35:40","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T08:35:40","slug":"bs-en-60335-2-492003a112012","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-60335-2-492003a112012\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 60335-2-49:2003+A11:2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This clause of Part 1 is replaced by the following:<\/p>\n<p>appliances for keeping food and crockery warm not intended for household use, their <b>rated voltage<\/b> being not more than 250 V for single-phase appliances connected between one phase and neutral, and 480 V for other appliances.<\/p>\n<p>Examples of appliances that are within the scope of this standard are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><b>hot cupboards<\/b>, with or without <b>heated tops<\/b>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b>heated tops<\/b>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b>heated display cases<\/b>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b>heated crockery dispensers<\/b>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b>heated tables<\/b>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b>radiant heaters<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additional requirements for appliances with power h driven moving parts are given in Annex ZE.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE 101 These appliances are used, for example in restaurants, canteens, hospitals and similar commercial enterprises.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The electrical part of appliances making use of other forms of energy is also within the scope of this standard.<\/p>\n<p>As far as is practicable, this standard deals with the common hazards presented by these types of appliances.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE 102 Attention is drawn to the fact that<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>for appliances intended to be used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>in many countries additional requirements are specified by the national health authorities, the national authorities responsible for the protection of labour, the national water supply authorities and similar authorities;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>for appliances intended to be used outdoors, additional requirements may be necessary.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE 103<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>machines designed exclusively for industrial purposes,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>machines intended to be used in locations where a corrosive or an explosive atmosphere is present (dust, vapour or gas),<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>continuous process machines for the mass production of food,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>machinery for processing cosmetics, chemicals and pharmaceutical products,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>bains-maries (IEC 60335-2-50).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Household and similar electrical appliances.
