This document specifies tests and requirements for the flexible fuel line, a compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel system component in accordance with SAE J517<\/span><\/span> (100R8 hose) or JIS B 8362<\/span><\/span> intended for use on the types of motor vehicles defined in ISO 3833<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

This document is applicable to vehicles (mono-fuel, bi-fuel or dual-fuel applications) using natural gas in accordance with ISO 15403<\/span><\/span>. It is not applicable to the following:<\/p>\n

    liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel system components located upstream of, and including, the vaporizer;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    fuel containers;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    stationary gas engines;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    container-mounting hardware;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    electronic fuel management;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  6. \n
