It supersedes the previous edition published in 2009 as CAN\/CSA-E60384-14 (adopted IEC 60384-14:2005).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span>For brevity, this Standard will be referred to as CAN\/CSA-E60384-14 throughout.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span>This Standard is intended to be used in conjunction with CAN\/CSA-E60384-1:14, Fixed capacitors for use in electronic equipment &#8211; Part 1: Generic specification (adopted IEC 60384-1:2008, with Canadian deviations).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span>This Standard has been developed in compliance with Standards Council of Canada requirements for National Standards of Canada. It has been published as a National Standard of Canada by CSA Group.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span>This part of IEC 60384 applies to capacitors and resistor-capacitor combinations which will be connected to an a.c. mains or other supply with nominal voltage not exceeding 1 000 V a.c.
