Classification on the basis of extended application of test results is also included in the scope of this European Standard.<\/p>\n<p>This European Standard deals with:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\">\n<li>\n<p>loadbearing elements without a fire separating function:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>walls;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>floors;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>roofs;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>beams;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>columns;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>balconies;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>walkways;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>stairs.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>loadbearing elements with a fire separating function, with or without glazing, services and fixtures:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>walls;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>floors;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>roofs;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>raised floors.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>products and systems for protecting elements or parts of the works:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>ceilings with no independent fire resistance;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>fire protective coatings, claddings and screens;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>non-loadbearing elements or parts of works, with or without glazing, services and fixtures:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>partitions;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>facades (curtain walls) and external walls;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>ceilings with independent fire resistance;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>raised floors;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>fire doors and shutters and their closing devices;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>smoke control doors;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>conveyor systems and their closures;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>penetration seals;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>linear joint seals;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>service ducts and shafts;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>chimneys.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>wall and ceiling coverings with fire protection ability.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>lift landing doors which are tested according to <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">EN&nbsp;81\u201158<\/span> <\/span> are excluded from this European Standard.
