This test method may be used to determine the effective case depth for all types of hardened cases.<\/p>\n<p id=\"s00004\">1.3 The procedure for determining the microindentation hardness of powder metallurgy materials, as described in Test Method B933 shall be followed.<\/p>\n<p id=\"s00043\">1.4 With the exception of the unit for density, for which the grams per cubic centimeter unit is the long-standing industry practice, the values in SI units are to be regarded as standard.<\/p>\n<p id=\"s00005\">1.5 <span class=\"italic\">This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
