Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen an Konstruktion und und Leistungsmerkmale von Sprinklern für automatische Sprinkleranlagen fest. Diese Sprinkler öffnen dadurch, dass bei Erwärmung auf eine vorbestimmte Temperatur ein wärmeempfindliches Element auslöst, z. B. durch Bersten eines Glasfasses.
