Description

1.1 This British Standard specifies requirements for wing nuts having ISO metric, ISO inch (Unified), BSW¹⁾, BSF¹⁾ and BA¹⁾ screw threads.

1.2 Nominal dimensions for two forms of wing nut blank geometry are specified in the following size ranges:

^a BSW, BSF and BA screw threads have been rendered obsolescent. See Appendix A.

ISO metric, ISO inch (Unified), BSW, BSF and BA screw threads diameters 3 mm (⅛ in) to 20 mm (¾ in). Two forms of wing nut blank geometry; tables of dimensions for hot stamped and cast varieties and for cold forged products.
