Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.1<\/span> This practice covers the determination of filamentous iron bacteria (FIB) by microscopic examination. This practice provides for the identification of the following genera of bacteria found in water and water-formed deposits: Siderocapsa<\/span>, Gallionella (Dioymohelix)<\/span>, Sphaerotilus<\/span>, Crenothrix<\/span>, Leptothrix<\/span>, and Clonothrix<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

1.2<\/span> The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
