{"id":228764,"date":"2024-10-19T14:52:36","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T14:52:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-60335-2-32002a112010\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T08:58:38","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T08:58:38","slug":"bs-en-60335-2-32002a112010","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-60335-2-32002a112010\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 60335-2-3:2002+A11:2010"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This clause of Part 1 is replaced by the following.<\/p>\n<p>This International Standard deals with the safety of electric dry irons and steam irons, including those with a separate water reservoir or boiler having a capacity not exceeding 5 l, for household and similar purposes, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V.<\/p>\n<p>Appliances not intended for normal household use, but which nevertheless may be a source of danger to the public, such as appliances intended to be used by laymen in shops, in light industry and on farms, are within the scope of this standard.<\/p>\n<p>h As far as is practicable, this standard deals with the common hazards presented by appliances that are encountered by all persons in household and similar environments<\/p>\n<p>However, in general, it does not take into account<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>children playing with the appliance,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>the use of the appliance by very young children and young children,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>user maintenance by children, including cleaning the appliance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is recognized that very vulnerable people may have needs beyond the level addressed in this standard. i<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE 101 Attention is drawn to the fact that<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>for appliances intended to be used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>in many countries additional requirements are specified by the national health authorities, the national authorities responsible for the protection of labour and similar authorities;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>additional requirements for pressure vessels may be specified by the national authorities responsible for the safety of pressure vessels.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE 102 This standard does not apply to<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>ironers (IEC 60335-2-44);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>appliances designed exclusively for industrial purposes;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>appliances intended to be used in locations where special conditions prevail, such as the presence of a corrosive or explosive atmosphere (dust, vapour or gas).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Household and similar electrical appliances.
