{"id":228889,"date":"2024-10-19T14:53:11","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T14:53:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-60335-2-982003a112019\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T08:59:52","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T08:59:52","slug":"bs-en-60335-2-982003a112019","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-60335-2-982003a112019\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 60335-2-98:2003+A11:2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This clause of Part&nbsp;1 is replaced by the following.<\/p>\n<p>This International Standard deals with the safety of electric humidifiers for household and similar use, their <b>rated voltage<\/b> being not more than 250&nbsp;V for single-phase appliances and 480&nbsp;V for other appliances.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE&nbsp;Z101<\/p>\n<p>Examples of appliances that are within the scope of the standard are<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><b>ultrasonic humidifier<\/b>,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b>impeller humidifier<\/b>,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b>evaporation humidifier<\/b>,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b>steam vaporizer humidifier<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>\u2013 appliances for heating liquids (IEC&nbsp;60335\u20112\u201115);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>appliances that atomize water;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>appliances that evaporate water by heating;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>appliances that blow air through a moist element.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Appliances that are not intended for normal household use, but that nevertheless may be a source of danger to the public, such as appliances intended to be used by laymen in shops, in light industry and on farms, are within the scope of this standard.<\/p>\n<p>This standard deals with the reasonably foreseeable hazards presented by appliances and machines that are encountered by all persons.
