This European Standard applies to hydronic fan coil units (FCU) as factory-made single assemblies which provide the functions of cooling and\/or heating but do not include the source of cooling or heating.<\/p>\n

The standard covers both air free delivery and air ducted units with a maximum external static pressure due to duct resistance of 120 Pa max.<\/p>\n

This European Standard provides methods for the determination of the acoustical performance of fan coil units, defining standard working condition and installation.<\/p>\n

It is not the purpose of this standard to specify the tests used for production or field testing.<\/p>\n

For the purpose of remaining clauses, the term \u201cunit\u201d is used to mean \u201cfan coil unit\u201d as defined in 3.1 of EN 1397:2015<\/span> <\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
