{"id":284701,"date":"2024-10-19T19:16:29","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T19:16:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-iso-166652013\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T16:06:15","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T16:06:15","slug":"bs-en-iso-166652013","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-iso-166652013\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN ISO 16665:2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This International Standard provides guidelines on the quantitative collection and processing of subtidal soft-bottom macrofaunal samples in marine waters.<\/p>\n<p>This International Standard encompasses:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\">\n<li>\n<p>development of the sampling programme;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>requirements for sampling equipment;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>sampling and sample treatment in the field;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>sorting and species identification;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>storage of collected and processed material.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This International Standard does not specifically address the following, although some elements may be applicable:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>bioassay sub-sampling;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>deep water (&gt;750 m) or offshore sampling;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>in situ faunal studies, e.g. recolonization assays;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>non-benthic organisms caught in the sampling device;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>estuarine sampling;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>intertidal sampling;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>meiofaunal sampling and analysis (see Reference [9]);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>dsampling by dredge and sledge;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>self-contained underwater breathing apparatus (SCUBA) sampling;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>statistical design.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Accuracy of position fixing is determined by the geographical area, equipment used and survey objective.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Water quality.
