Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.1<\/span> This specification covers the requirements of forged stainless steel for surgical implants when the material forged conforms to Specifications F138<\/span> (UNS S31673), F1314<\/span> (UNS S21910), F1586<\/span> (UNS S31675), F2229<\/span> (UNS S29108), or F2581<\/span> (UNS R56320).<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

1.2<\/span> The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system are not necessarily exact equivalents; therefore, to ensure conformance with the standard, each system shall be used independently of the other, and values from the two systems shall not be combined.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
