(This foreword is not part of this
Standard)

This Standard was prepared by Technical Specification Group C of
the Third Generation Partnership Project 2 (3GPP2). This
Standard contains the air interface requirements for facilitating
interworking between cdma2000^®1 HRPD and 1x systems.
This specification applies to 1x Release 0 or higher mobile
stations and base stations. This specification applies to all
releases of HRPD access terminals and access networks.

This is a supplementary specification to the 1x and HRPD air
interface specifications.

This Standard consists of the following sections:

1. General. This section defines the acronyms
and terms used in this document.

2. HRPD Notification in a 1x System. This
section defines the procedures for notifying a mobile station of
the arrival of mobile terminated data on the HRPD system.

3. HRPD System Information. This section
defines the format and corresponding procedures for the
Alternative Technologies Information Message.
