It deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and hazard events relevant to coating machines, when used as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer (see Clause 4).<\/p>\n<p>This document does not deal with pressure hazards in steam-heated drying cylinders.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE Directive 97\/23\/EC gives essential safety requirements for equipment under pressure.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This document does not apply to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>paper and board making machines,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>equipment for the treatment of coating substances,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>coating machines using solvent-based colours,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>coating machines applying silicon, adhesives or resin onto the paper web,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>printing and varnishing machines,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>integrated conveyors and cranes designed for transporting reels\/shells (reel spools) and for machine maintenance,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>integrated fire extinguishing equipment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This document is not applicable to coating machines which are manufactured before the date of publication as an EN.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Safety of machinery.
