{"id":270776,"date":"2024-10-19T18:08:48","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T18:08:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-160192014\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T14:19:30","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T14:19:30","slug":"bs-en-160192014","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-160192014\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 16019:2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This European Standard specifies the requirements for Type 10 automatic couplers for railway applications.<\/p>\n<p>It defines the minimum interface requirements in order to allow automatic coupling (mechanical and pneumatic) of two Type 10 automatic couplers.<\/p>\n<p>The interfaces of the end coupler specified in this European Standard:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>enable the rescue of a train set in an event of a breakdown by another trainset of different type, without the need to use an intermediate coupler adapter, accessories or component;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>are the reference interfaces to which the rescue coupler defined by EN 15020 will comply.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It does not define:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>interface requirements concerning electrical connections;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>clearance requirements around the coupler head;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>the height above top of rail for the coupler;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>the position of the pivot point of the coupler.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Railway applications.
