Said products may be a<br \/>\nresult from improper cleaning or lack thereof, improper processes,<br \/>\nentrapped particulates, etc. The following plating systems (but not<br \/>\nlimited to) are of interest.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 gold over copper (alloys) with or without nickel<br \/>\nunderplate,<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 gold over palladium-nickel over copper (alloys) with or<br \/>\nwithout nickel underplate,<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 silver plated systems with or without underplates.<\/p>\n<p>This test procedure does not determine to what extent, if any,<br \/>\nthe performance of the product tested may be affected by the<br \/>\npresence of residual corrosive elements on the contacts or<br \/>\nconnectors and any resulting corrosion from the test exposure.
