This standard does not relate capacitance and voltage<br \/>\nratings to specific case sizes. The actual ratings for particular<br \/>\ncase sizes are a matter of negotiation between the manufacturer and<br \/>\nhis customer.<\/p>\n<p>Capacitors for use in pulse discharge, photoflash, or similar<br \/>\ndevices are excluded.<\/p>\n<p>If more stringent environmental performance is required, it is<br \/>\nrecommended that applicable military specifications be<br \/>\nreferenced.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Object:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To establish uniform requirements for judging the electrical,<br \/>\nmechanical, and environmental properties of these two types of<br \/>\ncapacitors, to describe test methods, and to give recommendations<br \/>\nfor standard ratings and dimensions. Another object is to encourage<br \/>\nthe use of this standard as a procurement document.
