The data<br \/>\nwere derived from linearised theory and are presented in carpet<br \/>\nform for \u00dfA up to 12,<br \/>\nAtan<br \/>\n<span lang=\"EN\">?<\/span><sub><br \/>\n\u00bd<\/sub> up to 6 and taper ratio <span lang=\"EN\">?<\/span>\u00a0from<br \/>\n0 to 1 where A is aspect ratio, \u00df is (M<sup>2<\/sup>\u20131)<sup>\u00bd<\/sup><br \/>\nwhere M is Mach number, and<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\">?<\/span><sub><br \/>\n\u00bd<\/sub> is the half-chord sweep. Comparisons with test data<br \/>\nindicate that the lift-curve slope is predicted to within about 15<br \/>\nper cent and the aerodynamic centre position within about 0.05 of<br \/>\nthe aerodynamic mean chord. A computer program of the method<br \/>\n(ESDUpac A7012) is provided.
