The application range runs from 1 \u00b5g\/100 g to 1 500 \u00b5g\/100 g for lycopene and from 1 \u00b5g\/100 g to 2 250 \u00b5g\/100 g for \u00df-carotene. Based on the single-laboratory validation, the limit of detection (LOD) was 0,1 \u00b5g\/100 g and the limit of quantification (LOQ) was 0,3 \u00b5g\/100 g for each carotenoid.<\/p>\n<p>The method does not apply to materials that contain measurable levels of \u00df-apo-8&#039;-carotenal. The reproducibility data meets the requirements given in References [8] and [10].<\/p>\n<p>Annex C specifies the determination of lutein.
