The framework supports interoperability, interchangeability and reusability of media specific services. \u2014 The high-level architecture and framework is described. This framework covers the following system and management requirements: service management, awareness, behaviour and communication, content and time awareness. \u2014 This first version of the specification addresses three basic Media Services: Capture, Transform, and Transfer. \u2014 This document should be read in conjunction with the following: \u2022 FIMS 1.0 Part 2, S0: Base Schema \u2022 FIMS 1.0 Part 2, S1: Transfer Service \u2022 FIMS 1.0 Part 2, S2: Transform Service \u2022 FIMS 1.0 Part 2, S3: Capture Service \u2022 FIMS 1.0 file package \u2014 The standard major, minor and revision numerical versioning system is used for release management of the specification. 1.0.x releases of the specification shall contain minor revisions addressing inconsistencies and defects within the basic 1.0 release.
