ESDU 70016:1993

ESDU 70016 is a reference guide to terminology. Terms covered relate to constant amplitude loading and the presentation of such data in S-N and alternating stress – mean stress diagrams, variable amplitude loading and standard loading sequences, cumulative damage, and stress and strain concentration. Other terms covered include safe-life, fail-safe, damage tolerant design, and corrosion, fretting, thermal and high strain fatigue.
