Part 3 of <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">ISO&nbsp;8196<\/span><\/span>|IDF&nbsp;128 is also applicable for the validation of new alternative methods where due to a limited number of operational instruments the execution of an inter-laboratory study and <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">ISO&nbsp;8196-1<\/span><\/span>|IDF&nbsp;128-1 is not feasible.<\/p>\n<p>The protocol is applicable to milk parameters such as fat, protein, lactose, urea, pH, freezing point and somatic cells.<\/p>\n<p>Part 3 of <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">ISO 8196<\/span><\/span>|IDF&nbsp;128 also establishes general principles of a procedure for granting international approvals for performance of the alternative methods.
