Also, transport, assembly, dismantling, disabling and scrapping phases have been taken into account.<\/p>\n<p>This document is also applicable to machines fitted with one or more of the following devices\/additional working units, whose hazards have been dealt with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>additional working units for sawing, sanding, assembling or dowel inserting;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>fixed or movable workpiece support;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic or vacuum workpiece clamping;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>automatic tool change devices.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is also applicable to machines fitted with edge-banding equipment, even if the relevant specific hazards have not been dealt with.<\/p>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE\n <\/div>\n<p>For the risk assessment needed for the edge-banding equipment, <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">ISO&nbsp;19085-17<\/span><\/span> can be useful.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Machines covered in this document are designed for workpieces consisting of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>solid wood;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>material with similar physical characteristics to wood (see <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">ISO&nbsp;19085-1:2021<\/span>, 3.2<\/span>);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>gypsum boards, gypsum bounded fibreboards, cardboard;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>matrix engineered mineral boards, silicate boards;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>composite materials with core consisting of polyurethane or mineral material laminated with light alloy;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>polymer-matrix composite materials and reinforced thermoplastic\/thermoset\/elastomeric materials;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>aluminium light alloy profiles;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>aluminium light alloy plates with a maximum thickness of 10&nbsp;mm;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>composite boards made from the materials listed above.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This document does not deal with specific hazards related to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>use of grinding wheels;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>ejection through openings guarded by curtains on machines where the height of the opening in the enclosure above the workpiece support exceeds 700&nbsp;mm;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>ejection due to failure of milling tools with a cutting circle diameter equal to or greater than 16&nbsp;mm and sawing tools not conforming to <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">EN&nbsp;847-1:2017<\/span><\/span> and <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">EN&nbsp;847-2:2017<\/span><\/span> ;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>the combination of a single machine being used with other machines (as a part of a line);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>integrated workpiece loading\/unloading systems (e.g. robots).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This document is not applicable to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>single spindle hand fed or integrated fed routing machines;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>machines intended for use in potentially explosive atmosphere;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>machines manufactured prior to its
